Behind Sewniq
My name is Manon, I am 32 years old and I grew up in Lorraine before moving to Utrecht in the Netherlands in 2020.
But let's go back: in 2017, my darling gave me this magical object that I dreamed of so much, a sewing machine. With a lot of patience and passion, I managed to tame this machine and ultimately take great pleasure in transforming pieces of fabric into everyday accessories. The crooked stitches and accessories that weren't quite perfect in my eyes became beautiful pieces that I was proud to offer to my friends and family.

After more than 10 years of getting up every morning for a job I only half enjoyed, I decided that moving to a country where I didn't speak the language was the right time to start my own small business.
Sewniq was born in January 2021, in a part of my apartment that was transformed into a workshop, a photo studio, an office but also a back room according to the drops that came out on my store. But in October 2023 Sewniq finally moved to its own workshop located in Utrecht in the Netherlands.
If there's one thing that characterizes me, it's that I don't like disposable fashion, the kind you choose on impulse and get rid of as soon as the trend has passed. Quality is essential to me. I always prefer to buy a timeless product so that I can keep it for many years without it deteriorating. So I want the same thing for my creations.
Being aware that it is important to consume differently, I do my best every day to respect this beautiful planet, the animals, insects and humans who live on it. I therefore pay particular attention to ensuring that my creations are pieces that will last you over time and are easy to maintain.
Thank you for your trust and continued support; it is thanks to you that this adventure is possible. I am delighted to be able to share this passion with you and to see my creations find a place in your lives.
